We are looking for kinesiologists who can help our patients for active rehabs and exercises in order to improve their conditions. Our patients are composed of ICBC, extended health insurances, and WCB. We have two locations: one is in north Burnaby and another is in Surrey around Guildford area. Surrey location is on hold on job hiring at the moment but may open again soon. Burnaby location is fully open. 1. RMT jobs in Burnaby: How much RMT's get paid in Burnaby/Vancouver? 

RMT jobs and positions in Burnaby Healing Sense Clinic is based on a competitive percentage split. We will pay monthly or semi-monthly basis depending on your preference. We have semi-flexible percentage splits depending on the level of experience, full/part time status, or working locations. We unfortunately can not rent the rooms out since our therapists need them.

The average percentage splits in in Metro Vancouver areas are like following;

• New graduates without experience: 60-70% for RMT, 30-40% for the clinic. 
• RMT's with some experience and professionalism: 70-75% for RMT, 25-30% for clinic
• RMT's with superior experience and professionalism and possible working in the clinic for a full time: up to 80%. 

These are all depends on supply and demand in the area and also depends on the agreement between the RMT and the clinic. In addition, if you can refer patients to other therapists in the same clinic or and supervise other therapists, you will be more likely to get higher percentages. 

Would you chase after higher percentages? The answer is 'Not always'. Some clinics offer higher percentages than normal ranges most likely they expect something more duties or they offer less support or amenities. For example, they offer a higher percentages for you to work more hours per week or handle front desk work yourself.

In conclusion, do not look at higher percentages only but also their integration and willingness to work with you. Just because the clinic has many massage therapists doesn't mean it is good for you since you may have to compete for the patients. There are many clinics that are looking to expand with other therapists are recommended.

2. RMT Jobs in Burnaby: What are the RMT Requirements?

If you are graduated from BC, Canada and pass all the license exams, you will be having all the qualifications as you graduate and pass the examinations. Of course, we assume you have graduated from BC qualified and reputable schools and get the license from BC RMT association with good standing. Here are some qualification you need in BC, Canada as a registered massage therapist.

• Fully registered in BC and a good standing with the massage therapist association
  (If you are a student RMT, you can still apply with different condition.)
• RMT liability insurance covering at least 2 million dollars.
• Great attitude with passion to help our patients and grow together.
• Formal uniform is NOT required but at least professional attire is recommended.

3. RMT Jobs in Burnaby – What support would you get?

• We will do all front desk tasks and direct billing for many different insurances and ICBC.
• We will provide all necessary items such as linens, towels, oils, and etc.
• All scheduling and advertising will be provided.
• Street parking, in-building parking, customer parking, and reserved parking are available.

4. Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) Hiring Burnaby -Who's most of our patients?

We would like to have our registered massage therapists to be happy and work in good environment. You must be happy to make our patients happy and grow with the other therapists in our clinic such as chiropractor, acupuncturist, and kinesiologist.

Many of our patients have been waiting for a good massage therapist(s) and many of them are covered by extended health insurances and ICBC car accident cases. Many of our patients will be very happy to see a new registered massage therapist and also the people in the Burnaby Heights and North Burnaby areas will be happy to meet you.

5. How long does it take for a new RMT to have enough patients flow?

It really depends on the experience, skills, personality, and referring system. So, it will be very different from one RMT to another. However, there are certain period time it takes to get RMT to have a steady flow of patients.

First of all, it is very important to be registered with extended health insurances since many patients come with the extended health benefits. It may take 1-4 weeks to be registered with the clinic and you have to plan ahead. ICBC registration as a registered massage therapist may take between 1-3 weeks after the application.

Second, your reputation matters as a RMT. Not all RMT's are the same and their technique and interpersonal skills are different. Usually the RMTs that attract more patients are the ones who can maintain professional demeanor with the certain level of comfort during the treatment. If you can provide a good RMT service with professionalism every single time, your patient base can grow relatively quickly. 

Third, even if a clinic advertise for you, it make take some time for people or patients know that you are in a particular clinic. Overall, you have to plan a few months ahead in order to have steady influx of patients with direct billing available.

Forth, refer patients to other therapists so you can get the referrals back. Referring patients to other therapists in the clinic is not only good for increasing your patient base but also to help the patient to recover faster. We recommend all our therapists to refer each other for this reason. 

Fifth, location and availability matter. If you can make yourself more available for the patients, you are more likely to grow faster. For example, most patients are working on weekdays from 9am to 5pm. If you can make yourself available after 6pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends, your growth will be significantly faster.
