What is the requirements to work as a Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Acupuncturist, or RMT at our clinic?
- Candidates must hold an active, independent license in good standing with their corresponding regulatory body in British Columbia and Canada. The main regulatory body is College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBCP for physiotherapists, chiropractors, and acupuncturists, and College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC) for registered massage therapists.

What Billing Software/Electronic Health Record (EHR) system do we use?
Our clinic uses Jane App as our main software for taking new patients’ charts, clinical notes, and billings. If you are familiar with Jane App, that’s fantastic but do not worry about it even if you are not familiar with it since our front desk will take care all the scheduling, billing, and setting up shifts for you.
How is Compensation Structured?
Healing Sense Clinic Burnaby & Surrey offers a competitive, performance-based percentage split for all clinic roles such as a total hours of work per week, number of patients load, and the type of your role in the clinic.
Our clinic offers a full administrative support for all our practitioners, you can solely focus on treating patients without worrying about scheduling, billing, and marketing. In return, we expect our practitioners to do their best to heal patients, referring patients to appropriate therapies within the clinic, collaborating with other therapists, and maintain the best reputation.
What Percentage Splits Are Standard in BC Canada?
There is no set percentages for this since this is decided when you talk to the clinic. However, in general in BC Canada as of 2026, here is a summary of the ‘fair’ percentage splits. There are difference in percentage splits among different therapists due to the difference in how much marketing they need, how much maintenance they need, and how easy or difficult to bring patients in for them.
- Physiotherapist (% is for therapists)
- 50-55%: full admin support, full caseload, full marketing. But the therapist must take care of their own taxes.
- 55-65%: full admin support, medium caseload, moderate marketing and some referrals. Therapists are responsible for their own taxes.
- 65-85%: Therapist takes a role in administrative and billing parts but this must be specifically approved by the clinic. Therapist has a high reputation in local area and has several years of experience and takes a head physiotherapist in the clinic. Many patients come for you even with minimal marketing. You also must take a ‘head doctor’ of the whole clinic for other therapists as well and provide mentoring for new graduates and new therapists. You also can be responsible for patient files, records, and any business aspect of the clinic.
- Registered Massage Therapist (% is for the therapist)
- 65-75%: clinics offer steady streams of patients through marketing and referrals, clinic supports billing software, and provides any tools and tables needed for massage therapy treatment.
- 75%+: RMT takes a role in administration and business aspects (with consent from the clinic). Takes a head RMT who can support the front desk and mentorship to newly joined massage therapists. You have good reputation and can refer your patients to other therapists steadily.
- Acupuncturist:
- 50-60%: For new graduates who need mentorship and full marketing from the clinic. Clinic provides all equipment, room, and front desk admins.
- 60-70%: Clinic provides front desk admins, room, needles, supplies, and marketing. Therapist with more experience and refers steady stream of patients to other therapists.
- 65-75%: you hold a TCM degree and share the profits from herbal dispenses and patients are coming for you with minimal marketing and can refer patients to other therapists within the clinic. You also are able to provide mentorship to newly joined acupuncturists.
